Shimla Municipal Corporation has also achieved the goal of preventing unethical slaughter of sheep, goat, pig and poultry in any place other than the Municipal abattoir hence abiding with the writ petition (civil) No(s) 309 of 2003 Laxmi Narayan Modi Vs Union of India &Others and also fulfilling the norms laid down by Food Safety & Standards Authority of India.
